Teresa Mundt

Teresa Mundt

Teresa Mundt is a self-taught artist based in Buderim on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.  She has previously worked as a freelance cartoonist, an experience which continues to have a strong influence on her choices of subject matter and her painting style.

Her works are largely autobiographical and explore the themes of joy, passion, and the humour in everyday life.  She has established a loyal following with her quirky and colourful mixed media artworks.

Teresa has conducted workshops in cartooning and caricature for adult art classes and high school students, and is currently in the process of shooting a series of short instructional videos to be released on YouTube in late 2015.  Follow the progression of her latest works on Facebook by liking ‘Teresa Mundt’s Studio’.

Teresa exhibits her paintings at solo and group exhibitions across south-east Queensland, and her works are represented in collections Australia-wide.  Noteworthy accolades include:

– Grand Champion painting, Nanart Arts Festival 2014 (“Over My Shoulder”)
